LIFENETS SPONSORS
THREE YOUTH CAMP
PARTICIPANTS

July 27, 2004

On July 4, 2004 twenty five campers in South Africa arrived at Glenmore Eco Ventures on the south coast of South Africa.  Three of these campers were sponsored by LifeNets. They enjoyed 9 days of special activities such as abseiling (rappelling), sea kayaking, beach hiking, and other activities.

Glenmore Campers, July 2004

Southern Africa has many beautiful beaches and areas for hiking.  One of the most enjoyable activities the campers participated in was a tug of war on the beach where the 3 camping groups had the opportunity to test their strength.  Another activity that the youth participated in was pipes.  The 3 camping groups each had a pipe that had holes in them.  They had to cooperate in order to fill the pipe with water.  Needless to say there was great excitement as each group attempted to fill their pipe as rapidly as possible.

Campers have gone home with a new perspective on their abilities.  They also learned about God in the Compass Check and Bible Studies that were held each evening.  Comments from the campers indicated that they learned and profited from their camping experience.
