Atlanta Young Adults Car Wash
Raises $545 for El Salvador University Scholarships

August 4, 2002

On Sunday, August 4, 2002  the Atlanta Young Adults' held a car wash fundraiser for LifeNets.  It was a wonderfully successful and happy event raising $545.00 for needy students in El Salvador.   Thanks to all who participated.  Events like this make a BIG difference.  The car wash provided more than one year's tuition at a university in El Salvador.

One of many letters from recipient of scholarships:

It is a joy for me to greet you and let you know how much I appreciate the help you are providing young people attending university. Just when we were all realizing that the high fees were far beyond our budgets, Mr. Cisneros gave us the good news about the scholarships.

Thank you for your active involvement in this project. Have no doubt, it was a wise decision. Since the youth are the future of the Church, they ought to be solidly moral professionals who are capable of actively participating in society.

My daughter, Ana Marcela, is a very dedicated Marketing major at José Matías Delgado University where she is being allowed to take a class load of seven courses. Her dream is to own her own business. When we began attending, she was three years old and is now very loyal to the Church's teachings. We have been in the Church for 17 years and as a family treasure all the wonderful experiences we have had.

I reiterate, Mr. Kubik, my appreciation in the name of all my family.

Respectfully,

Cristina Cazares
