LifeNets Charity Evening

July 13, 2003

LifeNets thanks the Ambassador Bible Center for sponsoring the LifeNets Charity Evening that raised over $2100.00 for the Developing Nations Scholarship Fund. The special event was held on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at the Home Office of the United Church of God. This fund sends 42 young people to universities, colleges and vocational schools in nine countries.  In addition LifeNets will start helping ABC fund an international student to ABC and gave $500 of the evenings proceeds to the ABC Student Fund.

The evening began with a dinner at 5:30 pm. A portion of the food was provided by area Kroger stores. A silent auction was in progress at which many nice items were also donated by local businesses [see the list of donating businesses in the by clicking on the program in the box above].  Five numbered Kincaid paintings were donated by United Church of God member Debbie Clark in Sacramento, California. Delectable baked goods were contributed  by Cincinnati United Church of God members. A few plates of Barbara Antion's famous homemade baklava sold for more than $200!

A variety show mixed with auctioneering by Mark Riley entertained and raised $$$ for the Scholarship Fund.  Enjoy the photos that tell the story below.
