Jackie King provided the Invocation and Ivan Ekhaus introduced 3 three visitors and guests.  Happy Bucks were given by Melissa Warriner, Jackie King, Jim Mulholland (congratulations to you and your wife on your expected addition), Jason Buck, Patrick Wanzer, Dave Toussaint, Dave Willis, Becky Beckman and Ivan Ekhaus.

Dave Willis shared an article from Rotary World entitled "Walking Along Rotary's Four Avenues of Service", in lieu of Tom Branum's Rotary Minute.

Trent Donat gave a market report with the good news that all markets are UP!  Trent also reminded members that this Saturday, 11/2, is the clean-up for Nora which we will be helping with.  All are asked to meet at 8:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at 86th. and College for this project.  Also, remember that on 11/16, we will be working at Joy's House in the morning to winterize and help there.

Dave asked for all who plan to attend the District Rotary Foundation meeting on 11/9 to let him know so money can be sent for registrations.

Dave also announced that two weeks from today, 11/13, we will have our Veterans Day Program and all are asked to bring a veteran.

Also on 11/13 we will be provided a slate of officers for the next year.  Keith Gilchrist asked that all who have a recommendation or nomination for President Elect, Secretary and/or Treasurer, to contact him prior to 11/13 for addition to this list.

Vic Kubik asked that all consider what they as individuals want to do for the polio eradication program and announced that the Club will then decide what they will do.

Jeremy Slivinski introduced the program speaker, Dr. Ron Weiss, Executive Director of the Chipper Woods Bird Observatory.  Dr. Weiss spoke on the West Nile Virus showing slides and discussing the questions: What is it?  Where did it come from?  What should we know about it?  What are the symptoms?  How did it arrive here? and more.  He said the best way to control the spread of this is to eliminate the breeding areas of mosquitos and avoid being bitten.  He then took questions and answers.

There was no drawing.
