Dear Friend,

Medical aid for kids with thyroid cancer from Chernobyl disaster. Micro-loans for family entrepreneurial businesses in the former Soviet Union. Eyeglasses and flu vaccine for the elderly Western Ukraine. Twenty tons of food and medical supplies for an African health clinic. Support for victims of breast cancer in Indiana. Toys for physically challenged children in Estonia. Translation services for a humanitarian fact finding mission to Russia led by Indiana First Lady Judy O'Bannon.

What do these diverse operations all have in common?

They all used the services of LifeNets, a 501(c) (3) organization located here in Indianapolis.  If any of these projects sound appealing to you, I invite you to read on to see how a small organization can effectively support such a wide range of humanitarian projects.

We specialize in matching existing programs and resources to help people around the world that need a helping hand. We aren't about building an organization; we are about bringing together already existing organizations and programs to create a synergy that maximizes already available resources.

For example, in just a few days, a 10-ton container of medical supplies, clinical furniture, computers and children's toys will be on its way to a children's hospital in Ukraine from central Indiana. LifeNets worked with dozens of churches, missions and other humanitarian groups to make this shipment a reality and arranged to have the shipping paid for by the U.S. State Department.

One of our highlights last year was shipping $250,000 worth of much-needed medicine to a center for rehabilitating children near Chernobyl, Ukraine medically and vocationally for a tiny fraction of that cost.

Now, we need your help.

I know that you inundated with requests from worthwhile organizations annually and you must decide where you feel your contributions will have the greatest impact.  By supporting us, you will be helping to bring together many organizations in a shared effort to alleviate human suffering around the world.  And by helping us, you don't have to worry about your contribution being spent to support a bloated bureaucracy. We are a lean organization with virtually 100% of our funds go directly to relief efforts. In fact, we have typically been able to leverage each dollar contributed twenty to thirty times over in direct aid provided to needy people. We provide help only to program leaders we have personally met and know.

And there are so many people who need our help.  And we can help the people who want to help them do their job more effectively.

Will you join us in our effort?  Please consider a tax-deductible year-end gift of $100, $500, or more.  In doing so, you will make the world a little better place to live for some very needy people. If you have any questions about our work, please do not hesitate to call me at (317) 216-0802 and check out our Web site at www.lifenets.org.

Thank you in advance for your gift.

Sincerely,

Victor Kubik
