Malawi Chiefs Say "Thanks"

On October 12, 2007 area chiefs in Balaka wrote a letter of thanking us for the blankets, mosquito nets and food provided through LifeNets.  The United Church of God Northwest Northwest women made about 230 blankets that were shipped to Balaka, Malawi in 2006 and distributed to orphans on June 20, 2007.

We have been supporting the LifeNets Orphan Care Centre in Balaka with food and medicine since 2003.

Here is what they said:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kubik,

On behalf of all chiefs in Balaka Southeast I would like to thank you for the great work you are doing.

We received many blankets and mosquito nets for the needy children (orphans). The children also receive nutritious food. We have noted that the incidence of malaria and pneumonia has been greatly reduced and the children look healthy.

Please convey our thank to the women's organization [UCG Northwest Women] which organized the blankets and the lady who sponsored for the mosquito nets. May the Lord bless you.

                                                     Yours faithfully,

                                                     Vincent Blessings Chingwalu
