December 1999

As I look back over the things that interested parties such as yourself have done in the past few years to help needy people in the past few years, I marvel.  By your financial and moral support we have been able to send well over one million dollars of life-sustaining humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Malawi, Estonia and other places. And, we have been able to do it with minimal cost -- often leveraging each dollar donated 20 to 30 times over in aid delivered.

We have helped people in Ukraine in two notable areas.  One is in Western Ukraine where we have sent three containers weighing a total of 60 tons providing life sustaining humanitarian aid for impoverished people and refugees. Earlier this year we helped provide a medical mission to help hundreds of people receive the only eyeglasses they have or ever will have in this lifetime along with administering over 1000 shots of flu vaccine. We cannot stop helping in Western Ukraine.

We have helped resettle nearly 200 refugees to Ukraine from Islamic oppression in Tajikistan. These people need continual help. We have provided money for housing and heating through two cold Ukrainian winters.

We have established a micro-loan fund in western Ukraine to help people get on their feet. The fund has been successful in that people have borrowed sums of up to $500 from us, bought a cow or a piece of machinery and repaid us within a year.  We all end up winners.  We want to expand this fund and need your help in doing so.

We have helped a clinic in Malawi by sending a  20 ton container of vital aid. Many items have been donated to us by food companies. We are able to buy medicine at 5-10% of cost.  We desperately need to continue a program to send vital medicines to Malawi on a monthly basis and need your help.

We have sent used clothing to Estonia for two purposes.  One is to help people directly with clothing and the other is to provide people with work. They sell the clothing in thrift shops, pay us back so that we send more.

For the YEAR 2000 we have some wonderful new opportunities before us and would like your support.

But, we cannot go further without your help. And you can help us get the things we need at tremendous bargains.  Every dollar goes for the programs we support. We have demonstrated that we can successfully deliver.

Please read our year end appeal letter.

Remember that all donations are 100% tax deductible as LifeNets is a 501 (c) (3) publicly supported charity.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Gratefully,

Victor Kubik
